About Samurai Showdown
This is a single-player hack-and-slash action game. You travel through stages across ancient Japan, fight enemy samurai with close-range sword combos, and operate mechanisms in the world to open new paths. Cutting an opponent down drops the action into a brief slow-motion flourish, which is the signature beat of the combat. A later update added an arena survival mode for players who just want to fight.

Tips for the sword fights
A few habits make the combat go smoother.
- Roll with F to dodge before you commit to a swing.
- Alternate left and right clicks to keep a combo flowing.
- Press E on anything interactive; some mechanisms open the way forward.
- Keep moving in survival so a wave cannot surround you.
